Notice is hereby given that the Florence Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 5:30 P.M. on September 26, 2023, in the City of Florence City Hall Council Chambers located at 250 Highway 101, to hear and consider the following matter:

RESOLUTION PC 23 14 EAP 04: Extension of the Quince Street Wyndham Microtel Design Review:

The Planning Commission will deliberate extending approval of Resolution PC 22 05 DR 04 and SR 22 11 SIR 06, requested by Matt Braun, representing Quince Street Hospitality and Florence Urban Renewal Agency (FURA). The request for the extension is for the Design Review only of an 86-unit hotel. The original resolution contains consolidated conditional approvals Planning Commission made on August 23, 2022, for a Design Review and a Site Investigation Report. Because of the short time since approval only an extension of the Design Review portion is necessary as the original approval expired August 23, 2023, after the applicant provided the extension request.  The Design Review includes considerations of the proposed hotel’s architecture, color pallet, parking, lighting, landscaping, pedestrian walkways, common areas, access, and utilities. The project is to be located on 3.12-acres of Urban Renewal owned vacant land located at Assessor’s Map 18-12-26-33, Tax Lot 00903, east of the Florence Event Center, which lies within the Old Town Area C (OTC) zoning district, regulated by Florence City Code Title 10, Chapter 17.

On September 26, 2023 The City of Florence Planning Commission granted a one year extension to expire on September 27, 2024.
