Florence Tsunami Evacuation Analysis Mapping Project
In early 2018, the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries undertook an analysis of pedestrian evacuation of coastal Lane and Douglas Counties in the event of a local tsunami generated by a Cascadia event. The analysis determined minimum walking times to safety following a 10-minute delay from the start of an earthquake along an existing road network. More information is available below.
