2nd Street Utility Construction begins October 29th

City of Florence Oregon Construction

Contractors with Laskey-Clifton Corporation will begin water line construction on 2nd Street beginning Monday, October 29th. Members of the public are asked to proceed cautiously through the work zone, which will start at the intersection of 2nd and Harbor streets, or take alternative routes when necessary.
The construction is Phase 2 of the Florence Urban Renewal Agency’s (FURA) utility enhancement project that began earlier this year with Quince Street and will bring improved water supplies for fire suppression in the Old Town area. Additionally, this project will be replacing the sanitary sewer and stormwater systems within Oak Street from 1st to 4th streets.  One other project will impact the area of 1st Street at Harbor as the City of Florence make improvements to the water system for the Port of Siuslaw.

Anyone with questions about the project can call City of Florence Public Works at 541-997-4106 or Laskey-Clifton at 541-271-2213.
