Services & Records FAQs

When does the police department do fingerprinting? Is there a charge?

Public fingerprinting is done by appointment. Please contact Detective Litterell to schedule an appointment if needed.

Can police check that my home is secure while I am on vacation?

Citizens may either come in to the Florence Justice Center for a "Vacation Watch" form, complete it, and give to the communications officer on duty or you can just download the form from our website and then bring it in to the Justice Center, fax it to the Florence Police Department at 541-997-4104, or mail it to the Florence Police Department, 900 Greenwood Street, Florence, OR 97439.

You will be asked to provide the dates you will be out of the area, how to contact you, or who is a local contact person in Florence to respond to an emergency should a problem be discovered. Members of the Florence Police Auxiliary will occasionally and at random times check to see that your home is secure. Even with these occasional checks, there is no guarantee that nothing will happen to your home while you are away.

How do I get a copy of a police report?
