City Recieves USDA Grant for 911 Dispatch Consoles

PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT
Rural Development has approved a grant of $19,200

Program:  Community Facility Grant

Project Description:  Rural Development grant funds will be used to purchase two 911dispatch radio consoles.

The City of Florence is a member of the West Lane Public Safety Answer Points (PSAP) group that oversees the 911 services for Florence and Western Lance County. The purpose of the group is to coordinate the local 911 response between the communities of West Lane County.

The City of Florence is located in Lane County on the Oregon Coast. It has a population of 8,466 according to the 2010 Census and a
median household income of $33,586.
