BACKGROUND
The City of Florence provides water service to approximately 750 services that have backflow prevention assemblies adjacent to the meter. Approximately 10 new services are added each month due to new construction. The City of Florence is seeking a company qualified to test and repair all of these backflow assemblies.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to provide the City of Florence with the annual testing, repair and reporting of the City owned backflow assemblies for a period not to exceed three years. The contract may be renewed annually at the sole discretion of the City of Florence Public Works Department.

SCOPE OF WORK
The work includes the testing of all of the City of Florence backflow assemblies and reporting the findings to the City’s Cross-Connection Control Staff. All assemblies that the City of Florence owns are to be tested within one calendar year from date of Contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for supplying all equipment to perform the tests. The City of Florence is seeking proposals from Contractors with considerable experience in backflow assembly testing and repair.
