                                                     City of Florence

Sealed Bids for the 9th Street Waterline & Roadway Improvements project for the City of Florence, Lane County, Oregon (Owner) will be received by the City Recorder or Recorder’s designee at the City of Florence, 250 Hwy 101 North, Florence, Oregon 97439, until 2:00 p.m. (PDT) February 18th, 2021. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately following the specified closing time. All interested parties are invited to attend. Subcontractor declarations must be submitted to the above mentioned City representative no later than 4:00 p.m. (PDT) February 18th, 2021.

The work on this project is for public work. A brief description of the scope of work is provided below:
9th Street Waterline & Roadway Improvements – Base Bid:
Furnish all labor, equipment and materials as required for the completion of project work, which consists of approximately 3,300 lineal feet of new 16-inch. C900 PVC waterline. Work will include installation of waterline fittings valving, fire hydrant assembles, blow-off hydrant assembles, air release assembles, and the reconnections to existing water distribution and service piping. Waterline installation will require roadway excavation, pipe bedding and backfill with compaction efforts. Waterline and material testing will be required. This project also includes the removal and
replacement of approximately 15,000 square yards of the top 2-inches of asphalt surfacing, the construction of new ADA ramps, sidewalk, curb and gutter and other miscellaneous items as required for a complete installation.

Bids will be accepted at the above location via UPS, FedEx and hand deliver. USPS deliver will not be accepted. Bids will be opened at the City of Florence Public Works Training room. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00am. (PDT) Tuesday, February 9th ,2021 at the City of Florence Public Works Building, 2675 Kingwood Street, Florence, Oregon 97439. All prospective Bidders are encouraged to visit the site and to familiarize themselves with the project.

Bidders must be qualified to perform the work properly and to comply with applicable laws and bonding requirements.

This contract is for public work and is subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870. Prevailing wage rates for public works' contracts in Oregon are required for this project. No bid will be received or considered by the Owner unless the bid contains: 1) a statement that bidder will comply with the provisions of ORS 279C.840 2) a statement as to whether the bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279A.120.
