At the July 21, 2025 meeting, the City of Florence City Council decided to continue the public hearing on the following ordinance to September 15, 2025:
Ordinance No. 9, Series 2025 –An Ordinance adopting legislative amendments to Florence City Code Title 4, Chapter 4 Flood Damage Prevention to comply with FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program pre-implementation compliance measures.
On Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the City of Florence's Environmental Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) will hold its annual Black & White Recycling Event at Siuslaw Middle School. We’re offering Florence residents free disposal of certain items, thanks to our partnership with County Transfer and Recycling and Lane County.
Look for a speed limit changes on Kingwood Street between 35th Street and 400 feet north of Airport Way and between Airport Road (15th Street) and 10th Street beginning Thursday, July 31, 2025.

Ordinance No. 11, Series 2025 –An Ordinance assigning City of Florence low density residential zoning to property identified as Lot 65, Idylewood- replat of Lot 1, Block 1, located at 4787 Oceana Drive, Florence, Oregon, as part of a proposed annexation.
