Florence Housing Implementation Plan Open House #2

On November 10, 2022 the Florence Housing Implementation Plan project will be hosting an in-person open house at the Florence Events Center with the option to view virtually. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m, and the presentation will begin at 5:45 p.m.
Are you concerned about housing efforts in Florence? Curious about the results of the Florence Housing Implementation Plan project’s housing survey? The Florence Housing Implementation Plan Stakeholder Advisory Team has received the results of our first housing survey, and are ready to share them with the community.
Join us on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at the Florence Events Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and a presentation will begin at 5:45 p.m. Those interested in attending the event can find out more information at https://bit.ly/HIPOpenHouse2.
Project work will result in a Housing Implementation Plan (HIP), which will identify multiple affordable housing strategies, programs, and funding opportunities, that, once complete, will guide future housing development programs in the City.
The Florence HIP is funded by the Department of Land Conservation and Development (DLCD) through a grant provided to hire a consulting team, MIG|APG and Johnson Economics. The consulting firms will provide overall guidance for the project, and draft the final Housing Implementation Plan and resulting code amendments to comply with state requirements and implement local values related to housing design, natural resource protection, transitional housing, and short-term rentals.
