Notice of Potential Ordinance Passage

On May 17, 2021, the City of Florence City Council will review and consider four ordinances concerning the following…

• Ordinance No. 5, Series 2021 – An Ordinance approving annexation of 4.52 acres, Assessor’s Map Reference (MR) 18-12-04-44, Tax Lot 03800.
• Ordinance No. 6, Series 2021 – An Ordinance establishing medium density residential zoning district to 4.52 Acres, Assessor’s Map Reference (MR) 18-12-04-44, Tax Lot 03800, as part of a proposed annexation of same.
• Ordinance No. 7, Series 2021 – An Ordinance approving annexation of 7.87 Acres, Assessor’s Map Reference (MR) 18-12-11-33, Tax Lots 01900 & 01800.
• Ordinance No. 8, Series 2021 – An Ordinance establishing service industrial zoning district to 7.87 acres, Assessor’s Map Reference (MR) 18-12-11-33, Tax Lots 01900 & 01800, as part of a proposed annexation of same.   

This notice serves as official publication of the availability of the ordinances. The full text of these Ordinances is available, or will be available, by following the links above and below. 

Persons wishing to address the City Council may submit comments in writing or may provide verbal comments. Written testimony may be submitted by:

• Email to the City Recorder;
• Mail to Florence City Hall; Attn: City Council, 250 Hwy 101, Florence, OR 97439
• Drop off at City of Florence drop box located at Florence City Hall (250 Hwy 101) to the right of the main entrance.

** NOTE: Written comments must be received at least 2 hour prior to the start of the meeting (May 17, 2021 at 3:30 p.m.) to be distributed to the City Council and made part of the record.

Citizens may provide verbal comments / testimony at the meeting via the GotoWebinar platform. In order to participate verbally at the meeting, citizens are required to complete a speaker’s card at least 1 hour prior to the start of the meeting (May 17, 2021 at 4:30 p.m.).
