Ordinance No. 8, Series 2020 – An Ordinance amending Florence City Code Title 6, Chapter 1, Drinking in Public, related to alcohol consumption on private property open to public use.

This notice serves as official publication of the availability of the ordinance. The full text of the Ordinance is available through the links above and below. A paper copy of the ordinances may be inspected upon request to the City Recorder.

Addressing the City Council

Given recent executive orders from Governor Brown concerning COVID-19 and social distancing requirements, the protocols for providing public input for City Council meetings have been updated. In person attendance is not allowed at City Council meetings.  Interested citizens who would like to view and listen to the City Council meeting may do so via live broadcast on Charter Cable Channel 191 or web broadcast at www.ci.florence.or.us/citymanager/public-meetings-live.

City Council meetings shall not allow for verbal public comments on any item other than a mandatory public hearing. Citizens wishing to express their views to the City Council may do so by submitting written communications in one of the following ways:

Written Testimony: It is STRONGLY encouraged that interested parties provide testimony in writing prior to the meeting in one of the following ways:

  1. Submit written comments via email to City Recorder via email HERE
  2. Mail written comments to Florence City Hall, Attn: City Council, 250 Hwy 101, Florence, OR 97439
  3. Drop off written comments at the City of Florence drop box located at Florence City Hall (250 Hwy 101) to the right of the main entrance.

All written testimony received at least 2 hours prior to the Council meeting (June 8, 2020 at 3:30 p.m.) will be distributed to the City Council and made part of the record.
