Notice of Potential Ordinance Passage
On July 16, 2018, the City of Florence City Council will review and consider two ordinances concerning the following…
Ordinance No. 10, Series 2018 – An Ordinance amending the Florence Realization 2020 Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 9: Economic Development and Chapter 10: Housing Opportunities, to address housing and economic development, address current trends, and strengthen the local economy.
Ordinance No. 11, Series 2018 – An Ordinance amending the Florence Realization 2020 Comprehensive Plan, Chapters 7: Development Hazards and Constraints, 11: Utilities, Facilities and Services, 12: Transportation, and 14: Urbanization, to address Tsunami threats and development patterns within areas subject to these natural hazards. These proposed changes are implementations of model policies from the Department of Land Conservation and Development.
This notice serves as official publication of the availability of the ordinances. The full text of these Ordinances is available on the City of Florence website by clicking on the links below, or may be inspected at Florence City Hall, 250 Hwy 101, Florence, Oregon during regular business hours.
Persons wishing to address the City Council should complete a speaker's card available online HERE, or at the meeting. Speaker's cards are due at least five (5) minutes before the meeting. Comments on public hearing items will be limited to five (5) minutes per person.
