Jordan Knapp Winner of 2012 "If I were Mayor..." Poster Contest

Siuslaw Elementary School second-grader Jordan Knapp was announced as the winner of the 2012 “If I were Mayor…” poster contest during a ceremony at the Boys and Girls Club Tuesday, May 15. Florence Mayor Phil Brubaker presented Knapp with a certificate, City of Florence pin and a $25 gift card for his winning poster “If I were Mayor, I would Go Back in Time.”
Knapp’s winning entry was selected by Mayor Brubaker and the Florence City Council from more than 40 posters turned in by the Boys and Girls Club of Western Lane County. Sponsored by The City of Florence, Oregon Mayors Association and Oregon Afterschool for Kids, the “If I were Mayor…” contest was held in conjunction with the 2012 Oregon Mayors Association’s annual conference which is July 26 to 28 at Driftwood Shores. Knapp's winning poster can be seen on display at Florence City Hall, 250 Highway 101.
