"If I were Mayor..." Entries Photo Gallery
The Boys and Girls Club of Western Lane County turned in more than 40 entries from Florence-area students for the "If I were Mayor..." Contest. Sponsored by The City of Florence, Oregon Mayors Association and Oregon Afterschool for Kids, the "If I were Mayor..." contest provided an outlet for local students to share their creative ideas about what afterschool opportunities they would like to see in Florence as well as what they would do if they were mayor. The Florence City Council will select a winner from the entries and Mayor Phil Brubaker will be presenting the winner with a certificate and prize.
The contest was held in conjunction with the Oregon Mayors Association’s annual conference which will be held in Florence July 26 to 28 at Driftwood Shores. Click the link below for more information on Mayor Conference.
