Transportation Committee

Do you have an interest in Transportation of all types – vehicular, pedestrian, transit and air? The City of Florence is currently seeking driven members of the community to serve as volunteers on the Transportation Committee.

Members of the committee review, advise, volunteer for, and promote the City’s transportation efforts – from the Rhody Express to the Florence Municipal Airport.

The City is seeking at least one representative for each of the following areas: Traffic & Vehicular Safety; Bike & Pedestrian Infrastructure; Public and/or Private Transit; and Air and/or Rail Transportation. Community members with interest, knowledge, or experience in these are strongly encouraged to apply!

The Transportation Committee consists of between 5 and 11 members, of which the majority must be residents of the City. The Committee meets at least once per month, and will have an opportunity to work at City events and other occasions to perform public outreach.
