Florence Public Art Horse Installation

Florence Public Art Installs Horse Sculpture at Senior Center
The Public Art Committee is excited to announce the latest donation to the City's public art collection. Join the team for a photo opportunity and celebration to honor the installation of a horse sculpture at the Florence Senior Center located at 1570 Kingwood Street on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
The sculpture of a horse is made from recycled oil drums and hand welded by artists at the Kabiria Metal Works in Nairobi, Kenya. This event will acknowledge this generous donation from Mr. Sam Spayd and Mr. Ron Green, and acknowledge the efforts of the Public Art Committee, Florence City Council, Florence Urban Renewal Agency, City Staff and Florence Senior Center Board.
The Public Art Committee is continuing its efforts to attract and feature artwork of all kinds that improves the overall livability and quality of life in Florence. For more information about the City of Florence Public Art Program CLICK HERE.
